Certifications & Standards
We’re an IICRC Certified Firm and an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm (RRP), with technicians holding WRT, FSRT, OCT, ASD, and EPA RRP Certified Renovator certifications. We provide standards-based, respectful restoration services supported by safe work practices, clear communication, and thorough job-site documentation.
IICRC Standards Overview
We follow the applicable ANSI/IICRC standards—most commonly S500 (professional water damage restoration) and S700 (fire and smoke damage restoration). For projects that involve microbial growth, we adhere to S520 (mold remediation) practices—e.g., appropriate containment, negative pressure and HEPA filtration—and work to an independent post-remediation verification when required.
Technician Certifications (WRT, FSRT, OCT, ASD, EPA RRP)
- WRT — Water Damage Restoration Technician: moisture mapping, category/class assessment, extraction, controlled drying, and monitoring—helping prevent secondary damage (including conditions favorable to microbial growth) by removing water and stabilizing materials.
- FSRT — Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician: Soot/odor identification, material-appropriate cleaning, and safety controls.
- OCT — Odor Control Technician: Source removal, containment, and professional deodorization strategies.
- ASD — Applied Structural Drying: advanced psychrometrics, strategic equipment placement, and drying to target levels to reduce mold-favorable conditions; on mold-specific jobs we implement S520 containment/negative air and coordinate with a third-party assessor when required.
- EPA RRP — Certified Renovator (Initial): lead-safe work when disturbing painted surfaces in homes built before 1978 and in child-occupied facilities—containment & dust control, HEPA cleanup, and cleaning verification; maintains required RRP documentation.
All work is performed under our IICRC Certified Firm umbrella with signed authorizations and step-by-step documentation.
